Custom Role Rules

Server boosters can create custom roles. These rules apply to both the role name and the role icon.

1. Keep It Appropriate

Your custom role must remain appropriate at all times. Offensive, hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate names or icons are not allowed.

2. No Advertising

Your custom role must not be used to advertise services, products, servers, websites, social media, or anything similar.

Your haunt.gg link or haunt.gg branding may be allowed, but anything outside that is not.

3. No Impersonation

Custom role names and icons must not impersonate Staff, official haunt.gg roles, badges, announcements, bots, or other users.

This also includes anything made to look intentionally official or misleading.

4. Use a Proper Icon

If you use a custom icon, it must follow the same standards as the role name. It must be appropriate, non-misleading, and not used for advertising or impersonation.

5. No Abuse of Special Characters

Do not use excessive symbols, invisible characters, broken formatting, or unusual Unicode characters to make the role look misleading, unreadable, or disruptive.

6. No Rule Bypass

You may not use abbreviations, spacing tricks, alternative spellings, or edited icons to bypass these rules.

7. Staff May Request Changes

If a Staff member tells you to change or remove your custom role, you must do so. If needed, Staff may remove or reset a custom role without notice.
